Memories

Ok D after much deliberation here are my top ten things that arouse a memory in no particular order.
1. The smell of any fresh baked bread reminds me of Pop and Pop's bread.

2. Freshly opened box of crayons ( 2nd grade Mrs. Binkley)

3. U2's Beautiful Day ( Eric and I watching one of our fav movies together)

4. Fresh baked chocolate cookies (making them with Brandy every weekend 5thgrade)

5. Johnson baby shampoo ( each one of my precious babies)

6. Campfire ( roasting marshmellows and eating smores)

7. Laying on the backcar seat ( playing "tonya" with Dee)

8. having movie nite with the kids and our friends watching Disney movies

9. Riley's coffee cakes ( enough said)

10. eating at a bw3's ( meeting Eric and falling in love)

Back to the Grind

This is right across the street from our house.

So as you know we were out of power all week last week due to the high winds.

We survived the long week of no school ( but barely ) It was fun the first couple of days but then got kindof old. We had alot of branches down in our yard but no damage. We played outside alot and made several trips to the library and the playground. We spent the night at Appa and Poppas a couple of nights so that helped alot. We are back at it again with school and scouts and soccer. I am working alot this week and E is getting some QT with the kidos. Here are some random pics from last week. Hope everyone has a great week.

One Last Hoorah!!!

We had a nice Labor day weekend. we hung out on Saturday. Sunday we spent the day at the pool and used the diving board like a hundred times. Early Monday we went to the lake all 5 Hoaglands plus Appa and Poppa . We all got to go tubing ( yep even me ) Gabe and Mollie learned how to dive. ( thanks to Appa and Daddy) Mia learned that jumping of the rocks is very cool. It was a nice stress free weekend a perfect end to the summer. So glad we were able to make some great memories that we will always cherish. Now back to the grind of another week.

Mia and Poppa getting ready to tube.

Gabe and Mollie excited to be tubing ( but still a lil nervous)

TGIF!!

All in all it has been a good week . School is going well Gabe is getting in a lil trouble for talking (big surprise) Cub scouts has started again and is in full force but Gabe and Eric love it so who am I to complain. Fundraising has officially started so anyone who wants popcorn needs to get it from Gabe ( you know who you are.... Roberts family ) I had to work for the music store this week so that keeps me busy at nites. We took the training wheels of Mollie's bike about a month ago and she has really taken off! She rides ALL the time and has gotten really fast. Mollie and Eric have a date tonight , they go out once a month it is really good bonding time. Mollie gets all dressed up and they go for ice cream or hot chocolate or something. We are all glad it is a long weekend we all need a couple of days off. We will be going to the lake at least one day and then a whole lot of nothing (hopefully) Love to you, hope you all have a nice and safe weekend.

Mia and Mommy

not really seeing much out of that

Mia with my friend Laurel and "daddy " gorilla

Riding on "Scotty"

I must say I have already gotten used to just the two of us. Today we went to the zoo . It was kindof hot but still fun . Mia really enjoyed the baby elephant Scotty and the gorilla in Gorilla Forest. I do enjoy the zoo but was really excited to see we walked 3.8 miles so I got alot of exercise . I think you should be able to count more because I was pushing a stroller with a 3year old and part of it was pretty steep. Anyway all in all it has been a good week. Last nite was open house at the school and Mollie's teacher said and i quote " what a sweet girl she loves to learn and is friends with everyone " Praise the Lord for that. Gabe's teacher on the other hand said Gabe is VERY social and all the kids in the class respond to that, and he kindof sets the tone for the classroom . So we just have to have Gabe use his "powers " for good not evil . all well just another life lesson. He is doing well elsewhere Scouts started back so he and Eric are busy on Mondays with that and Tuesdays are for soccer practice and he loves both. Somehow the weeks just fly by. Heres to a relaxing weekend!

Happy Birthday Mia !!!

A proud lil chef

everyone was so proud of their pizza

the extended family.

Happy Birthday Mia!!

Mia turned three on Tuesday but we had the party on Sunday. After church we all headed to Boombozz to celebrate the big day . The kiddos got to go to the kitchen and make their own pizza (that was very exciting ) then on to the presents and finally finishing off with a yummy Strawberry Shortcake cake ( that was obviously the theme). I am so proud of her she was so excited about everything she got and was very appreciative . I am so thankful for Amelia and what blessing she has been these last three years. I think a good time was had by all and are ready for the next birthday. ( we wished for the roberts missed you guys!)
