TGIF!!

All in all it has been a good week . School is going well Gabe is getting in a lil trouble for talking (big surprise) Cub scouts has started again and is in full force but Gabe and Eric love it so who am I to complain. Fundraising has officially started so anyone who wants popcorn needs to get it from Gabe ( you know who you are.... Roberts family ) I had to work for the music store this week so that keeps me busy at nites. We took the training wheels of Mollie's bike about a month ago and she has really taken off! She rides ALL the time and has gotten really fast. Mollie and Eric have a date tonight , they go out once a month it is really good bonding time. Mollie gets all dressed up and they go for ice cream or hot chocolate or something. We are all glad it is a long weekend we all need a couple of days off. We will be going to the lake at least one day and then a whole lot of nothing (hopefully) Love to you, hope you all have a nice and safe weekend.

Mia and Mommy

not really seeing much out of that

Mia with my friend Laurel and "daddy " gorilla

Riding on "Scotty"

I must say I have already gotten used to just the two of us. Today we went to the zoo . It was kindof hot but still fun . Mia really enjoyed the baby elephant Scotty and the gorilla in Gorilla Forest. I do enjoy the zoo but was really excited to see we walked 3.8 miles so I got alot of exercise . I think you should be able to count more because I was pushing a stroller with a 3year old and part of it was pretty steep. Anyway all in all it has been a good week. Last nite was open house at the school and Mollie's teacher said and i quote " what a sweet girl she loves to learn and is friends with everyone " Praise the Lord for that. Gabe's teacher on the other hand said Gabe is VERY social and all the kids in the class respond to that, and he kindof sets the tone for the classroom . So we just have to have Gabe use his "powers " for good not evil . all well just another life lesson. He is doing well elsewhere Scouts started back so he and Eric are busy on Mondays with that and Tuesdays are for soccer practice and he loves both. Somehow the weeks just fly by. Heres to a relaxing weekend!

Happy Birthday Mia !!!

A proud lil chef

everyone was so proud of their pizza

the extended family.

Happy Birthday Mia!!

Mia turned three on Tuesday but we had the party on Sunday. After church we all headed to Boombozz to celebrate the big day . The kiddos got to go to the kitchen and make their own pizza (that was very exciting ) then on to the presents and finally finishing off with a yummy Strawberry Shortcake cake ( that was obviously the theme). I am so proud of her she was so excited about everything she got and was very appreciative . I am so thankful for Amelia and what blessing she has been these last three years. I think a good time was had by all and are ready for the next birthday. ( we wished for the roberts missed you guys!)

School days

So we are officially in to the groove of school . Mollie is adjusting quite well and Gabe has picked up right where he left off last spring. He came home from school yesterday and was telling me about the day , I said so who did you hang out with today ? ( i have now learned its not play but hang out) He said oh everyone , everybody is my friend . My heart soared with that I am so glad he is such a friendly kid and loves everyone no matter what they look like or how they act . I hope and pray he will always see people they way God sees them and not the way the world does. It is very hard to send them out into this world , why can't we just keep them with us in the house in our own lil world? I know the answer to that but it would be nice.
Anyway Mia and I are adjusting to our new schedule she is really enjoying having me all to her self , I enjoy it too. It is soooo quiet she actually took a nap yesterday who knew that was still possible ! Have a blessed day!

Its a Big Day Part 2

I love that they wear uniforms.

this is my big man . when did he get so old?

Mollie's classroom

Tuesday morning was the first day of school Mollie is now officially in "big" school having just started kindergarten . She LOVES school and got up at 6:30 for school Tuesday (it starts at nine). I am so thankful she seems to be having an easy transition to school . Mollie 's teacher is Mrs. Hunt and she really seems to be a good match for Mollie's personality. Gabe also started school and loves it as well. His teacher Mrs.Hinkle is one of the same teachers he had last year, so he already knew what to expect and was excited and not nervous one bit. I do have to say when Mia and i dropped them off yesterday we both cried a little . I don't think we are going to have any trouble adjusting to just the 2 of us all day long . Mia loves getting all of moms attention. I am so excited to see what this year will hold for both of my kidos!!

It's a Big Day!!!

her fav is the princess umbrella and her shirt from her Aunt DD and Uncle Dane, Maya and Charlie. ( good job its a perfect fit)

Tuesday was a very big day at the Hoagland house. Amelia is no longer a baby she is three now and lets everyone know it too. We had Amelia day, first we went to Target to pick out 2 toys and look at EVERY baby doll they have. Next we went to lunch and then to the pool where she could jump off the diving as much as she wanted to and get all of mommy and daddy's attention. Then out to dinner with the whole family and Appa and Poppa and finally home to open a couple of presents.

Holiday World or Bust

This is 5 minutes after we got in the car!

On Thursday we all (even Eric) plus Appa and Poppa went to Holiday World. We all had a wonderful time although Gabe is officially to tall for the "little rides" BUT Mia is tall enough for them . We got to ride everything we wanted to despite the huge crowd. The best part is we have some really wonderful memories which is what it is all about.

my lil fish

here is my two year old jumping off the diving board at the pool. Mia has no fear!!! I on the other hand have a heartt attack everytime she jumps.

swimming

Many a days were spent at the pool this summer. they are
all lil fishes, but the fav of all is the diving board. Gabe even loves
it after avoiding it all summer, but once Mia did it he
could not be out done by his lil sister. I am so proud of all of them.
